Head of Russian precious metals store’s exit

The head of Russia’s precious metals and gems repository Gokhran has allegedly been trying to resign from his post.

It has left people wondering who will take the role as the leader of a group who caused outrage within the world palladium market.

“Vladimir Rybkin, tendered his resignation in February but his letter remains unanswered, three sources familiar with the situation.”

“The government simply can’t find a replacement for him—nobody wants to take on such a huge list of responsibilities,” one of the sources said.

“A new head of Gokhran may be found in the early summer” another source said.

Rybkin, who is 66, declined to comment.
